DONNA'S FATHER NAMED IN NEW YEAR HONOURS LIST

In a fitting tribute, Len Curtis (Chairman of Trustees) has been awarded the MBE in this year's New Year Honours list

for services to the community in Lancashire. He will be going to Buckingham Palace on 10th March to receive the award.

THE VALENTINES' BALL

Held in the Hilton Hotel on 12th February,

this fantastic event raised over £10,000

on the night, plus many other donations.

We are so grateful to everyone who helped make

the night such a success.

The picture shows the hotel before the guests

(almost 300 of them!) started arriving.

DONNA'S DREAM HOUSE APPEARS ON TV!

Donna's Dream House received a fantastic boost, appearing on "Secret Millionaire" on Sunday 29th March 2009. The programme ended with millionaire Gary Eastwood writing a cheque for £20,000. But this was just the beginning!

Before the programme had even ended, our guestbook started receiving messages of goodwill and support, and we were swamped with e-mails from PayPal - each one telling us a donation had been made through this website. Then, over the next few days every post contained cheques from well-wishers.

In all, over £8,000 has passed through this website,

almost as much again has been received in cheques,

and donations are still coming in. Gary Eastwood has

been back many, many times and his help and support

since the programme has helped us make the dream

bigger and better!

One of the log cabins contains a reception area and

office, but the other (named "Eastwood Lodge")

contains a fantastic 7-seater hot tub jacuzzi and

sauna! A third cabin, currently under construction,

will contain a mini-cinema. And, of course, instead of

a large square of gravel we now have a superb
